Dr. Elena Frid is a Neurologist and Clinical Neurophysiologist specializing in Infections Induced Autoimmune Disorders. With clinical interests in the Autoimmune Neurology, she sees patients (children and adults) with complex cases of Lyme disease and co-infections resulting in various neurological complaints.

 

Her many areas of expertise are: General Neurology, Headaches & Migraines, as well as sub-clinical focus in Autoimmune Neurology, Neuropsychiatric and Neurodegenerative Disorders. 

 

Using cutting edge diagnostic tools and clinical expertise she differentiates between idiopathic vs organic causes of various neurological disorders.  Her knowledge has been sought by patients from all over the United States, as well as Canada and Europe.

Dr. Frid attended a coveted BA/MD program at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) and went on to North Shore-LIJ Health Care Systems (currently Northwell) where she completed residency in Neurology and fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (EMG / EEG).

 

Dr. Frid is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN).  Voting member of the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), and served as a president of Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Alumni Association. She has been featured on various podcasts, virtual and live conferences speaking and advocating for prevention and treatment of tick borne illnesses. 

Upon request from families, Dr. Frid frequently collaborates on complex pediatric cases of Neuro Lyme with Dr. Charles Ray Jones, a world leading pediatric Lyme disease specialist with over 40 year career experience in dealing with children with Lyme disease and other Tick Borne Illnesses.

Clinician Somer DelSignore, is a board-certified pediatric critical care and primary pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She has well over a decade of practice experience and extensive training in autoimmune, neuroinflammatory conditions (PANS/PANDAS), Lyme and other tick-borne illnesses, mycotoxicosis/ mold exposures, infectious triggered mental health illnesses, and pediatric integrative medicine. She utilizes the latest medical science and technology to design a treatment regimen specific for the needs of her patients.

Somer completed her graduate studies at PENN and trained at some of the top pediatric hospitals in the country, including Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Children's of Dallas, Texas , Penn State Children's in Hershey, PA and most recently at Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC. Her passion is within Integrative pediatrics combining Eastern and Western medicine modalities.

Throughout her extensive career, she has worked under Dr. Richard Horowitz of Hyde Park, NY treating Lyme and PANS/PANDAS patients using herbal and allopathic treatment methods. 

She has served as a clinical preceptor to numerous PA and NP programs, performed duties as an editorial board member for professional publications, and maintains an active fellowship with the American Academy of Ozone Therapy for Oxidative therapies. Somer has also been named Hundson Valley Parent favorite doctor three years in a row, was a former ILADS member, and appeared on various Lyme related podcasts (Lyme Ninja Radio and Living with Lyme). 

Ms.Somer treats both pediatric and adult patients.
